Decided I wanted to try double knit colorwork and man is it difficult. I enjoyed the circles/bubbles but wanted to try a less geometric form and made up a little pattern. Sadly it looks like a demonic rabbit skull a bit and I’m not really into that but it is great practice.
Definitely not easy or something to do while doing something else.

I started, and nearly finished, this piece a year and a half ago. Just ran across it a couple days back and decided to finish her up. This is a blackwork fill pattern that I designed (though with blackwork there are only so many things you can do, so it may exist elsewhere as well).

I really enjoy when I can stitch things in the same order every time and end up with a pretty back. It’s a dreadful addiction.

this swatch block is a sample of the pythagorean knit pattern … knit by Lois Banta with 10 1/2 needles … looks the same on both sides … combo of knits & purl stitches … the borders can be seed stitch, garter stitch or whatever you might like …  figure multiples of twelve to achieve the main design …
